Muzzomo – Privacy Policy

Muzzomo (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Muzzomo mobile app and services in Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Canadian privacy laws (including PIPEDA).

Information we collect

• Account Data: name, email, phone number, password, and profile details (for professionals and service seekers).
• Service Listings: details you provide about services offered or requested.
• Bookings & Payments: transaction details (payment method, billing info). Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Messaging: in-app chat between professionals and clients.
• Location (optional): to show nearby providers and job locations. You can disable location in your device settings.
• Device & Usage: diagnostics, crash logs, and general usage to improve performance.

How we use information

• Enable account creation, login, and secure authentication.
• Match professionals with clients and process bookings.
• Process payments and issue receipts.
• Provide support and respond to inquiries.
• Improve safety, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing of information

We share data only as needed to deliver the service:

• With professionals/clients: limited contact info during a confirmed booking.
• With service providers: e.g., Stripe (payments), Google Maps (location), hosting/CDN providers.
• Legal compliance: where required by Canadian law.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing. The app currently shows no ads.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active or as needed to provide services. Financial records may be retained longer as required by Canadian law.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, OS-level secure storage, and other safeguards. No method is 100% secure; we continually improve protections.

Your rights (Canada)

Under PIPEDA, you can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information and withdraw consent for optional features (like location).

Children

Muzzomo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to remove it.
